The Prince George Native Friendship Centre (PGNFC) has grown and continues to be one of the largest and busiest community service delivery agencies in Prince George. Our clientele of Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples have supported the Centre's program offerings for the last 50 years. The PGNFC provides culturally appropriate programming to meet the community's unique and diverse needs. We offer a wide variety of services, which includes education, employment, health, early childhood, and social programs.

Front-Line Support Workers (Term to March 31, 2021)


The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is seeking Front-Line Emergency Weather Response (EWR) Workers for Ketso Yoh which provides Emergency Shelter, Outreach, and Supportive Housing for men who are experiencing homeless or at risk of homelessness, mental health and/or addiction issues. This position will report to the Coordinator of the facility.



  • Establish and maintain safe and clean environment of the facility;
  • Provide support to regular staff members during increased client access to facility;
  • Provide and be available for client communications;
  • Transportation for clients where necessary;
  • Advocate and/or mediate on behalf of clients;
  • Provide input to staff members regarding client needs; and
  • Provide feedback for case management to assist clients.



  • Grade 12;
  • First Aid, Food Safe, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Suicide Intervention;
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License, Class 4 preferred;
  • Basic computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work with high risk clientele;
  • Knowledge of the Aboriginal Culture; and
  • A Clear criminal record.
